WaiterBot from Yujin Robotics

It is not widely known that besides the iClebo vacuum cleaning robots Yujin Robotics makes industrial and service robots as well. In previous years a teaching robot was sitting on the desk at their booth, but this year a waiter robot was demonstrating the capabilities of their new service robot platform. WaiterBot takes the order, goes to the vending machine to pick up the items and delivers them to the customer.

While it doesn't sound very exciting, we should not forget that this is just a demo use case. The basis of this robot is a universal platform that can take many different shapes and tasks. The goal here was to demonstrate how the platform can communicate with other devices.

The company brought some iClebo robotic vacuum cleaners to CES as well, but the two newest models were not yet available at the booth. The iClebo Smart is the wifi enabled version of the iClebo Arte, what can be reached and controlled from a smartphone over the wireless connection. The iClebo Pop is the simpler version of the iClebo Arte. It has no ceiling monitoring camera, therefore it is not a systematically cleaning robot. It covers the room in a randomly selected pattern.
