Husqvarna Automower 265ACX

Husqvarna has upgraded its top of the line robotic lawn mower for 2012. The new Automower 265ACX is a replacement model for the Automower 260ACX, and instead of the Ni-MH battery, it uses a Li-ion battery set. With all other things unchanged, this makes the Automower 265ACX lighter, allowing it to run longer, and cover a larger area. The new model can handle lawns up to 6000 sq m (65 000 sq ft), about 500 sq m (5400 sq ft) more than its predecessor. With this upgrade, the Automower 265ACX becomes the second model of the Automower line to use lithium-ion battery after the third generation Automower 305 announced approximately one year ago.

Just as its predecessor, the Automower 265ACX has a 5 pivoting blade cutting system, and it's designed for large or very complex lawns. It is the only member of the Automower line to have ultrasonic radars to recognize obstacles before they are hit, but if the robots gets stuck, the built-in GPS unit can text the owner to gain some attention.

The Husqvarna Automower 265ACX is already available for €4,500.
